Boost your business with GOOGLE ADS and generate leads

The advertising landscape has changed considerably with the evolution of technology and even more since the COVID-19 pandemic where traditional media was replaced by digital advertising. Still, if you've planned to spend any amount of money on digital marketing to reach your target audience, you'd better spend it in the right place, on the right day, and at the right time. Somewhere like ... #GoogleAds, the most powerful tool we have been recommending our clients so far, which is a network of over 3 million sites around the world.

We have recently set up a digital marketing plan for one of our clients, Cim Finance, by setting up a strategic online advertising campaign which has resulted in being very positive and efficient for our client. The latter gained a considerable number of visitors to it’s website through clicks and impressions, based on the keywords and display ads. Yet, let's take a look to Google Ads to help you understand its potential.

Understanding Google Ads

Google Ads also known as Google Adwords, is an online advertising tool created by Google, where advertisers pay to display brief advertisements, service offerings, product listings, video content and generate mobile application installs within the Google Ad network to web users. Thus, businesses are able to develop online ads through Google Ads to reach their audience exactly by their interest in the products or services that you offer.

How does it work?

Google Ads is a paid advertising platform that falls under a marketing channel known as pay-per-click (PPC), where the adviser pays per click or per million impression (CPM) on the ad. Therefore, it is a marketplace where companies pay to have their website ranked at the top of a search results page based on keyword search. It allows businesses to target users on two main networks:

1.Search network

On the search network, advertisers bid on the relevant keywords. This gives them a display of their advertisements to users who enter those keywords into Google as part of a search query. The paid search results are usually displayed on the top and bottom of the page and have a small ad icon next to them. Based on the keywords that they want to target, businesses pay to get their advertisements ranked at the top of the search results page. Since the platform runs on pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, you have to pay only when a visitor clicks your ad.

2.Display network

The display network, on the other hand, offers advertisers the chance to display their banner advertisements on the websites that are a part of Google network. Google ads can be displayed on either search results pages or a web page within Google’s Display Network (GDN). GDN is a network of websites that allow space on their webpages for Google Ads — these ads can be text-based or image ads and are displayed alongside content relevant to your target keywords

In a nutshell, Google Ads system is principally a live auction where advertiser places a ‘bid’ in the Ads system to secure a particular ad position. Depending on the competition and price bid by other advertisers, the advertiser either gets the desired position or related to a lower position. It also helps you to analyse and improve those ads to reach more people so your business can hit all of your paid campaign goals.

The 6 main benefits of Google Ads:

1. Increase brand awareness

It is a great tool for boosting brand awareness, as it is an efficient way of telling people about your brand. Reinforcing your brand name, personality and reputation are all necessary to build trust with your visitors. The more you repeat these things consistently, the stronger your brand becomes, and the more trust you earn with prospects.

2. Aims for maximum relevance

The platform works by providing advertisers to produce high-quality ads. Just like a business, if your ads are relevant to Google’s users, you are rewarded with a high-quality score which results in cheaper web traffic. It’s a win situation for Google, its users, and the advertisers. Google Ads aims to target those who already have an interest and, therefore, are more likely to convert into sales.

3. Targeting and remarketing

You can target pretty much anything, on any device, in any location down to a one mile radius around any location. If you’re a small shop which provides service in a very tight area, you can target your ads to the cities you serve. Google Ads offers a variety of targeting options namely: Geo-targeting, Behavioral targeting, Demographics, Language, Customer Match and Device.

4. Maintain full control of your campaigns at all times

Google Ads allows you to make modifications to your campaign (daily budget and maximum cost per click) in near real-time by tracking performance on your website. You have the possibility to pause and enable your campaigns anytime. Let’s say you need multiple campaigns with many services and promotions being advertised simultaneously, but only need them to run for a certain period. No need to panic, automated rules in Google Ads  are here to give you control.

5. Measure your performance consistently

It is very difficult to measure the outcome of traditional advertisements like newspapers, radio, broadcast television, cable television, outdoor billboards, brochures etc. Also, they are much more expensive than Google Ads. You cannot in fact control your own budget and spend. Moreover, you will not know the source of the leads coming from these media, unless your customer chooses to disclose it. However, with Google Ads, you will know exactly what happened with the campaign.

You would know:

  • Who clicked on your ad.
  • How many leads have been generated.
  • How much traffic you have got from AdWords to your website.
  • Which keyword generated the most traffic and leads.
  • How much does it cost you per lead

Knowing which part of your marketing is working and which is not is the best piece of information any marketer can have. Google Ads provide indeed much data. The most crucial data is the conversion.

6. Reinforce your SEO strategy

Search Engine Optimization is important for brand recognition. Unfortunately, you cannot rely solely upon SEO and expect high ranking in search engine results. This is where Google Ads comes into play. Once your google campaign goes live, your ads will immediately appear in search engine results and partner sites which will start driving your traffic and result.

Google Ads for business growth

At its most basic level, launching a Google Ads campaign is an effective way to drive traffic from the search engine to your website. It is common that if your target audience cannot find your website, they are not going to buy from your business. This is the reason why many firms turn to Google Ads. They do understand that the powerful advertising platform will allow them to pay to climb to the top of search engines results pages (SERPs) for selected words.

This can be valuable for brand awareness and is a particularly common approach for e-commerce stores, who can bid on keywords related to the products they stock and use it as an ongoing source of leads and sales.

Google is the most used search engine, receiving 2.3 million searches every second. Not to mention, the Google Ads platform has been around for nearly two decades, giving it some seniority in the area of paid advertising. Google is a resource  used by people around the world to ask questions that are answered with a combination of paid advertisements and organic results. Furthermore, according to Google, advertisers make $8 for every $1 they spend on Google Ads.

Google Ads is all about testing and tinkering to figure out what works. Unfortunately, most business owners don’t have the luxury of time, which is why agencies like Nova Interaction exists. Google AdWords can be a big investment, both in time and money, but it’s a good one. The search network can make sure your ads rank well in searches of users who are looking for brands like yours, and the display network can be used for re-engagement or discovery campaigns. Though the system can be complex, there’s a lot to gain from using it, and it’s entirely possible to run profitable campaigns with low CPCs even on the smallest of marketing budgets.
